Looking back and having a glimpse of your unforgettable memories takes you to a new level expressing your heart. There are things you are blessed with but you’re not aware of and suddenly as an eye-opener, the whole perception of the world changes. This is what exactly happened when I joined Amal Academy. I was exposed to endless opportunities to explore myself. The time I was spending on doing Amal project works and online courses and writing blogs revealed my inner potential and I started feeling changes in my personality.

Amal academy gives silent doses of self-realization and improvement and you observe a drastic change in yourself with a time you can’t even imagine. I was very excited to join Amal Academy as listening to Benje and Ali Siddiq at the Graduation Ceremony 2020 really instilled the desire to be a part of this prestigious 3 month Career-Prep Fellowship. Through the first two weeks, I had a lot of questions in my mind regarding how will the whole 3 months I’m going to spend and learn side by side with my articleship and university. That was the biggest challenge for me to manage it all along with busy chores.

Developing a life map, Amal values and principles were a new concept that provided an opportunity to have a bigger picture of your goals and leading principles of success as a human.

Ma’am Hira and Sir Rizwan both were amazing mentors. They cleared every confusion regarding what our mind holds in terms of our misconceptions about life and the real world. They prepared us for the practical life we are going to start and the challenges it holds for us. Courage, positivity, enthusiasm, self-care, confidence, belief in yourself, and many more learnings were the core essence of the session side by side building professional skills.

Ma’am Hira

Our instructor’s beautiful smile and positive energy helped us cherish every moment during the session while having a healthy and conducive learning environment where our opinion matters.

The following picture shows the positive things I learned right after the start of my journey with Amal during the first two weeks.

Reflecting and developing a habit of reading books is what I learned too.

Cherishing the moments of joy and feeling rejuvenated while capturing the happy moments really give a sense of belonging and the credit goes to Amal. We are taught to celebrate our success and don’t get discouraged even if we face failure at some point in life.

Karl Lagerfeld

The above picture reminds me to self-reflect upon the goals you have and how you are going to design your future. Refining goals as SMART goals helped to clear your mind and focus your energies in the right direction. I learned how to remain focused in this world of distractions.

Above all, going with the flow and improving yourself by learning new skills and hoping to get there where you want to be are some learnings of my Amal journey.

Going out of your comfort zone and struggling for the goal by going an extra mile gives you a sense of achievement at the end. This picture with mulberries reminds me of the time to pick each one by one by taking risks and then cherishing the moment with sweet fruit and applause yourself.

The first group meeting reminds me of the time how to make a room and get comfortable with new people.

Regular circle meetings were fun besides discussing project works and group tasks.

Breakout room discussions were really fun while having limited time and doing more of a task assigned.

Thomas Campbell

Now at the end of this 3-month Fellowship, when I look back to those two weeks at the start of Amal journey, it seems a blessing and a great memory where I had to meet with wonderful people from all around Pakistan. I discovered a whole different version of me, more confident, more responsible with a pinch of sense of humor in difficult situations to handle. The positivity and counselling I got from my Instructors will remain as a hallmark of lifelong learning with me.

I am thankful to every single person in this journey for making it worth remembering and a beautiful one.

Thank you all and lots of love and respect!
